Kitty-Boy: A Bright and Shining Star

Our Sweet Angel Has Crossed the Rainbow Bridge

After only three or four years on this earth, his life had become a testimony to survival. Despite having been cruelly abandoned in the past, and having to deal with several medical handicaps in his all-too-short life, he was never anything but gentle, affectionate and accepting.

His name was Kitty-Boy, and in the short time we knew him, he touched our hearts and our lives, changing us forever in ways we never expected, never dreamed of, but will always cherish. His indomitable spirit reached out and touched others that never knew him, never met him except though his website, message board, or word of mouth, but they mourn him all the same, now that he has crossed the .

In our search for a "Forever Home" for this brave and loving kitty, we met the wonderful and caring people of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, in Utah. While Kitty-Boy never had a chance to find his "Forever Home", he had something just as wonderful: a beautiful, warm and safe sanctuary at Best Friends, with people devoted to his happiness and welfare. And, in an unexpected but welcomed bonus, this socially friendly kitty had other cats to play with and sleep beside in his final days, something that meant as much to us, as it did to him!

Please, join us in our efforts to help other cats and kittens like Kitty-Boy, as well as all other animals, to have homes with loving and caring human companions. Help us to ensure that no animal goes without medical care, food, shelter or love, and that no animal is put to sleep simply because it is not wanted. Help us to educate others about FeLV, FIV, Spaying and Neutering Programs, and much, much more.

Please, check out Best Friend's Website, and check out Kitty-Boy's own message board, Kitty Haven. Both are growing rapidly in the effort to help other animals in need, thanks to loving, caring individuals that want to make a difference in the lives of even just one animal!

We continue on, in memory of Kitty-Boy, truly a four-legged angel from God!

Paw Prints

He walked into our yard one day
And left paw prints on the ground.
A rag-tag looking gray tomcat
That had clearly been around.

With matted coat and plaintive cry,
He left paw prints in our world.
And though at first we said he could not stay,
On our doorstep we found him curled.

We hoped to keep him by our side,
But such was not to be.
He left paw prints on our wounded hearts,
But even more ~~ sweet memories!

He left soft paw prints on our souls
When he left this world behind.
He's crossed the Rainbow Bridge, you see,
Warmth and happiness he'll find.

Oh, Kitty-Boy, we miss you,
And Your paw prints here and there.
And sometimes we even find ourselves
Whispering a prayer.

Dear God, look out for Kitty-Boy,
We miss him very much.
For now he leaves his paw prints
Beyond our earthly touch.

We know that we will see him,
When our time comes around.
And someday soon his paw prints,
We'll see on holy ground!
