Here are some facinating facts about Kibo:


** Kibo was fourth born, and the second gray kitten. But Kibo couldn't be more different from her sister, Boo. Their various shades of gray are quite different. Boo is a pure, medium gray, while Kibo is a darker gray with a slight brown tint. Seen in the right light, Kibo even looks a bit more brown than gray!

** Kibo is one of just two kittens born to Isabel that have slightly "Doll Face" Persian Characteristics. While not even remotely like the flat-faced Persians made popular by Catshows and Breeders today, Kibo and Oz hark back to the "Doll Faced" Persians of decades ago. With long, full hair, round heads and slightly flat faces (thus, "Doll Faced"), they embrace the best of the Persian breed, imho. This is also why we think Kibo and Oz had a different father from the other kittens, although we cannot be entirely sure.

** Kibo was the last to open her eyes, second to eat kitten food, and the first to use a litterpan. She's very fussy about that!

** From the moment she was born, Kibo was the biggest kitten by far. For this reason, we were sure she was actually a boy, and that was one reason why she became the "namesake" of a dear friend's recently passed on kitty, Kitty-Boy. Once we realized Kibo was actually a girl, we shortened "Kitty-Boy" to Kibo, and added Kitty to the end. Thus: Kibo Kitty! But we still consider her to be Kitty-Boy's namesake, despite the unexpected gender switch!

** We were concerned about Kibo's eyes at one point, until we realized that they hadn't fully opened. Once we took care of that problem, her true beauty become fully apparent. Everyone seems to fall under her spell!
