Kitty Haven is an Ezboard Message Board for people from all parts of the world and all walks of life to come and discuss their feline friends and companions. We will gladly help you with problems, listen to suggestions, and be there for you in times of trouble. We have forums for general cat care, medical care, for posting photos of your kitty pals, for posting memorials to those who have already crossed the Rainbow Bridge. . . .we even have an "alternative" forum, and an off-topic forum, which includes jokes, games and just chatting. A little something for everyone, in fact!

On some message boards, you might find your creativity and "voice" stifled by overwhelming, and creatively crushing, pointless rules and regulations that are implimented with brute force. Our Posting Guidelines are simply there to help make your stay on Kitty Haven a truly pleasant one, as well as a safe one. We never have, and never will, advocate a "Zero Tolerance" policy regarding our rules. Should you run afoul of a rule or two, we are very understanding. We're here to help, not dominate.

We do not ban our members for accidentally breaking rules, and we most certainly DO NOT ban members for posting on other message boards (in fact, we feel banning is often just a childish attempt to "punish" those that won't play by highly restrictive rules) but feel we should offer a friendly warning that there are message boards that are very possessive of their members and do not allow them to post on other Cat message board. However, rest assured, you will never be banned at Kitty Haven for posting elsewhere. We even encourage it, as it's great to keep the lines of communication and education open and free flowing.

While we strive hard to provide a friendly and comfortable atmosphere at Kitty Haven, be advised that from to time, posters with nothing on their mind but trouble have been known to drop in on various message boards, sometimes even Kitty Haven, their aim to be as disruptive and hateful as possible. While we have Administrators and Moderators that patrol the boards to keep problems from cropping up and/or escalating, they cannot be on the board 24/7. So if you come across a disruptive and spiteful post or thread, do not judge Kitty Haven or us by the hateful actions of a "Troll" or troublemaker. In fact, it is best to just ignore them until someone can close/move/delete the offending thread. Attention seems to only encourage them, especially negative attention. Trying to reason with them only inflames them to greater effort, in fact. Ignore them, and as soon as possible, the offending thread or post will be dealt with, with a minimum of fuss and muss.

This does not mean that we will sit back and watch while angry, hateful and distructive people run rampant across the board. Our guidelines are in place not only to make your stay more pleasant, but to protect you from the Internet Minority that are only out to cause problems, such as SPAMMERS and FLAMMERS, individuals who attempt to hack or attack the computers of others, and those who feel they are above the rules. Individuals with havoc on their mind will be dealt with accordingly, so that legit members continue to have a safe and comfortable place to post and play.

Trust us, our regular members are the nicest, most respectful and helpful bunch of cat lovers you could ever hope to meet! The knowledge and wisdom possessed by our feline friends at Kitty Haven is awesome! Better yet, don't just trust us, come and see for yourself! Welcome to Kitty Haven. Feel free to look around all you want. Please feel free to introduce yourself in our introduction forum, Whiskers and Tails, and let's talk Cat!
