b and b's mommy wrote about Burrito:
Burrito is nearly 12 years old. He's been around my hubby longer than I have! His life started out pretty uneventfully. Hubby had gone into a local pet store and there was little Burrito ("reety-reet" is his nickname) in a kennel for $12.98. What made him different is his 'hooky tail'. The vet said it happens from time to time but it doesn't hurt the cat in any way.
Burrito and Tako Poke lived with my hubby in his apartment. When I moved in, I brought Bo, my baby. Tako Poke didn't really like the 'boys', she was used to being queen. After she suddenly passed away in 2000, Burrito and Bo became best friends. Burrito became less skittish and more tolerant of new surroundings. He endured catheterization for a bladder problem and when he was neutered, one of his 'sacs' wasn't in the right place so it required extensive surgery. Through it all, he has maintained a very quiet if not distant demeanor.
When Bo died in 2004, Burrito was devastated. He wouldn't eat and moped around looking for his 'brother'. When we adopted Briegh, he was an excellent big brother. He took care of her and they're still close now. But then came Boston, then finally Bayleigh. Burrito made it known that he didn't want to give up his territory by hissing at the others, but never got violent with them. There are moments he will lay down with one of the other cats and just hang out. Overall, Burrito is a great companion. He loves his daddy and it's obvious to everyone that my hubby is his favorite person in the world.
Thanks for taking the time to read Burrito's story.
Congratulations Burrito!!!
