I have my ideas about where he came from (a man and woman who died and their cats were left to fend for themselves), but don't know for sure. Merlyn is a big comedian and sort of a bully. If he's doing the teasing, it's funny--if it's being done to him, he's being picked on. Merlyn's favorite past times are sneaking up behind Chiam and making him "holler like a girl", hitting Indy and running, biting butts--including human ones--and cuddling up with Chryseis. She's his "mini me" and he loves her dearly. As you can see from his picture, Merlyn is also a master at wrapping his person around his paw through "artistic cat persuasion through cuteness." Congratulations, Merlyn!
