B and B's Mommy Wrote about Boston:
We adopted Boston last November and immediately had to confine him to a bedroom upstairs because he had coccydia (fecal parasites) and couldn't be around our 2other cats, Burrito and Briegh. I was stuck downstairs on the couch with a leg
immobilizer on due to a knee injury and was moping about a trip to Boston that I had to cancel because of my condition. My husband grew weary of me moping so finally he said he's going to name the cat Boston so that the next time I whined about my condition, I could "go up to Boston" in his bedroom to spend time with him and cheer myself up. So the name stuck. Boston is going to be a year old in September. He's had his share of struggles in his short life. When we adopted him, we were told he had coccydia (fecal parasites) which required isolation for a month. After battling the parasites (constant litter box cleaning, modified diet, medications), we finally conquered. This past May he was playing with our girlcat, Briegh (they're inseparable). He was chasing her and slid on the wooden floor into the wall, dislocating the lower part of his front right paw, in the 'wristbone' area. After a month in a bright red cast (which he handled like a trooper), he was as good as new. Our vet has been amazed by his progress and good nature every time we took him there (which was often!). Through it all, Boston has such a sweettemperment. People come into our house and rather than running away, he boldly walks up to people and sniffs them out then headbutts them until they pet him. He
still 'nurses' his favorite blanket. If you ask him questions, he'll give you little 'meow' answers. He has a very loud motor and purrs constantly. Since recovering from the paw injury, he now lays down when he's drinking and curls his paw around the water bowl as if he's in a lounge and 'hanging out'. Boston's specialty is water. He loves it! He knocks it out of his water bowls and plays in it. As soon as I'm out of the shower, he jumps into the tub and rolls around in it. I've never seen anything like it! By looking at his picture, you can see that he's a very happy little cat and loves to ham it up for the camera. Yes, he is smiling as he lays on his favorite 'blankey'! I realize this is lengthy, but thank you all so much for taking the time to read Boston's story.
Congratulations, Boston!
