Slygirl wrote about Kendra: God sent Kendra to me so my heart didn't hurt so bad over Kenny, who is NOT forgotten. Everynight I tell Kendra how she got her name and about Kenny. I think she understands!! I love her!!! Her left front limb was broken when she was a kitten even smaller than she is now, but she gets around by walking on her elbow, and she's quick!! The vet says she can keep her leg and adapt to the disablitity of it so there would be no reason to amputate in the future. She gets along on it so incredibly well. She runs, yes, RUNS with it like that and pays no mind to the fact that it is crooked (broken but never re-set). And even if they did have to cut it off, I would not love her any less, or get rid of her!!! I think she is a remarkable little girl and I do love her so, and I'm sure if she could speak she'd tell you all that she loves you, too!! Angel is definetely jealous of kendra because she gets all the attention he got after Kenny died. Kendra's back paws are white. It's really cool!! With her one paw, it doesn't even affect her at all. It just makes her stronger and quicker because she does have that disability, which we don't see as a disability because she runs so fast and with her litter she does what she can with just one paw and uses her elbow to help with the rest. She's like the energizger bunny: she keep going and going and there's no stopping her!! She's really amazing!! The vet said she had adapted to having no use of that paw so no need to amputate (thank God!!) I don't want her to think I don't believe in her. she understands things better than ppl in the house think. I KNOW her. She is amazing, like I said before!! Totally!! But i will always check for abnormalities on her leg and if I discover any I will notifiy immediately the doctor that brought us together and knows her well. Congratulations Kendra!!!
