I want to nominate my silly, goofy Psycho baby. I was on my way over to take my ex-BF's elderly Aunt to lunch and stopped at a yard sale. There was a rabbit cage there I wanted because I was raising cockatiels at the time. We arrived to take out Auntie, and I heard a pitiful "mew" from the bushes by her driveway. I picked him up, and instantly fell in love with this tiny, bitty kitten who looked to be a mix of gray and fleas. Auntie was deathly allergic to cats, so we couldn't keep him in her house, and we couldn't not take her out... but we had the cage! I fixed it up and gave him a soft towel and water, and it was the shortest lunch on record, with a stop for food. I took him home and bathed him, and he was white as snow, with tabby ears and a tail. He started out life as Butterscotch for his tabby markings, but in true kitty fashion named himself Psycho within three days. After a break-in at my apartment when he was 6 months, he didn't purr again for years. He finally got in my lap and purred on Thanksgiving day, 1994. He is now 14 years old, an elder statesman, and watches over the young ones - but he is willing to join in playtime occasionally. Even though he hates to be held, he is a real lap monster, and sleeps draped across me every night. And he is goofy and silly and pudgy and wonderful!

Congratulations Psy!!!
