My vet said that the best time for new additions to be shortly after the move when M&S calm down but territory is not firmly established. I decided to get a ragdoll kitten because they are calm, non-aggressive, and easy going cats and see how it goes and then add another one, preferrably rescue from my vet (he often has kittens and he works with several no-kill rescue organizations). They are getting along great now, though Mitzie is still a bit jealous sometimes. Also, Sophie is still a bit hyper and has a bit of difficulty to understand that others don't want to play 24/7. Sometimes she just runs around the house growling and carrying one of her toy mice, or she attacks her watermelon bed, preferrably from the inside, so all you see is watermeon jumping and rolling around the living room. Sophie doesn't like soft beds and warm places, she'd rather sleep on marble floor in kitchen or bathroom, or on glass coffee table. Congratulations Sophie!!!
