Mr. MacDoogle came to us by way of friends and coworkers, all working together to get three littermates out of a very poor situation. Mr. MacDoogle and his brother and sister were covered in fleas, lice and loaded with worms, as well as being so skinny it was amazing they could stand on their feet. Treated, bathed and fed, their personalities began to come out slowly and Kaleb immediately latched on to this particular black and white ball of fluff an declared, "This kitten is MINE!" I can well understand why. He has the kind of personality that makes him, even as a rowdy kitten, perfect as a lap-cat!

Gaia has mentioned several times that her cats practically name themselves, and she never settles on a name until it "suits" them or "fits" them. I never really understood what she meant until now. Mr. MacDoogle is the only cat we have ever had that we just could not settle on a name for. He went through at least ten name changes, and we were all, including him, unhappy with the choices. Then, suddenly, this name just popped out of my mouth and I thought, "Wow, it's almost perfect!" And my son said, "MacDoogle? It's great. MR. MacDoogle!" And I realized that with the "Mr." added, it was exactly right. And the first time we called "Mr. MacDoogle" he actually came running to us!

Congratulations Mr. MacDoogle!!!
